1. Acceptance
By installing or using OMS Player you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the app.
2. Your licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, for as long as your access code or subscription is valid. The app is licensed, not sold. All rights in the software, its design and its name remain ours.
3. Access codes
- A code binds to the first device that activates it and works on that device only, for the number of days it carries.
- Codes are personal. Sharing, reselling or publishing a code is not permitted, and a code found in circulation may be revoked.
- When a code expires the app locks and asks for a new one. Your playlists, audio, artwork and rules are not deleted and return when you enter a valid code.
- Moving to a new device requires a code for that device. Use the backup feature to carry your content across.
4. Subscriptions and the free tier
New accounts get a free trial of the full app. Its length is set on our server and is shown in the app, along with how many days are left. When the trial ends the app locks until you subscribe or enter an access code.
The player itself and all of its editing features are included. The AI features are metered against your account: our server keeps a running total of what you have spent on them, which the app shows as a credit meter.
Subscriptions are sold and billed by Google Play or the Apple App Store. They renew automatically until cancelled, and you manage or cancel them in your store account, not here. Refunds follow the policy of the store you bought from.
We may change what the free tier includes for future users, but a subscription you are already paying for keeps what it was sold with for its current period.
5. Your content
Your audio, video, playlists and artwork are yours. We claim no rights in them, and the files themselves never reach us. Track names and the settings you give a track do reach our servers, as part of the usage logging and the AI requests described in the Privacy Policy — read it for exactly what is sent and when.
You are responsible for holding the rights to whatever you load into the app and for any public performance of it. This matters in two places in particular: material you import from YouTube, and music you play at a paid event. Obtaining the necessary licences and permissions is your responsibility, not ours.
The YouTube import feature is provided as a convenience. Using it in a way that breaks YouTube's terms or infringes someone's copyright is not permitted.
6. Third-party services and your own keys
By default the AI features and the YouTube import run through our own server, on our provider accounts. You do not need a key of your own, and you are not billed by OpenAI, Anthropic or RapidAPI for that use — it is covered by your subscription or your usage allowance. Those providers are third parties whose terms and availability we do not control, and a request that reaches them is subject to their terms.
You may instead enter your own API key in Settings. When you do, those requests bypass our server and go directly from your device to that provider — under their terms and their pricing, and any charges they bill to your key are yours.
Keep your keys to yourself. They are stored only on your device, and we cannot recover or reset them for you.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to reverse engineer, decompile or modify the app, not to circumvent the licensing mechanism, not to redistribute the app or its files, and not to use it for anything unlawful.
8. Using it on a live stage
OMS Player is built for live performance, and that is exactly why this section exists. Software, phones and Bluetooth remotes fail: batteries die, an operating system decides to update, a device overheats, a venue has no signal, a permission gets revoked mid-show.
Test your set before the show, keep the device charged, and keep a fallback for anything you cannot afford to lose. We are not responsible for a performance that is disrupted, and we cannot be — the conditions on a stage are not ours to control.
9. Warranty and limitation of liability
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of fitness for a particular purpose. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error free.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, for lost income or lost bookings, or for loss of data. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you actually paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim.
Keep your own backups. The app includes a backup feature for exactly this reason, and using it is your responsibility.
10. Termination
You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may revoke a code or end a licence if these terms are breached — in particular if a code is shared or the licensing mechanism is circumvented.
11. Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, and the competent courts of Israel have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
We may update these terms. The date at the top of the page shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
